What Laser Jammer System Do I Need?
Did You Know That the Blinder Laser Jammer System is Available in More Than One Configuration?
Blinder USA offers more than just one cookie cutter Laser Jammer System. You want to be sure you are getting the right system for your needs. We do not want you to have a system that does not provide the correct amount of protection, nor a system that provides more than you actually need.
In this 5 minute video Leon Guuner (aka the Blinder Dude), discusses the various Blinder systems.
Leon shares that the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer System comes in four different configurations: Single, double, triple or quad head configurations.
Laser Jammers for Your Car
The best system for a car is a dual or quad head.
Most of the time using a dual head setup is enough, as 95% of the officers are going to aim the laser/LIDAR gun at the front of your vehicle.
However, if the other 5% that may or may not aim at the rear of your vehicle is a concern or a common practice in your area, then you may want to seriously consider a quad head setup.
As we discussed in my Blinder Install How To video, the best places to install the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer Heads on a car, is to place them about 18 inches from the side of the headlights.
Also remember, if you have a front license plate of any kind, you will need the triple head setup, as the third Laser Jammer Head needs to be installed over the license plate on the front.
If you are considering the quad Laser Jammer Head setup, you would still install the Laser Jammer Heads in the front the same as mentioned above, however you now would be adding one or two more depending on the setup you choose for the rear.
Leon Shares that the best placement for the rear of a car is one on each side of the license plate, centered about half way between the plate & the tail light.
However if you chose the quad setup, using three of the Laser Jammer heads in the front, then you will only have one left for the rear. In this case you would want to mount the laser jammer head under the rear license plate, as officers are more likely to target your plate than your tail lights..
Laser Jamming for Your Truck
Leon shares that the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer System setup for a truck is a dual, triple or quad head.
Most of the time using a dual head setup is enough, as 95% of the officers are going to aim the laser/ LIDAR gun at the front of your vehicle. However, if the other 5% that may or may not aim at the rear of your vehicle is a concern or a common practice in your area, then you may want to seriously consider a quad head setup.
As we discussed in my Blinder Install How To video, the best places to install the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer Heads on a truck, is to place them about 18 inches from the side of the headlights.
Also remember, if you have a front license plate or a big shiny emblem on the front grill of any kind, you will need the triple head setup, as the third laser jammer head needs to be installed over the license plate or under the emblem on the front.
If you are considering the quad laser jammer head setup, you would still install the laser jammer heads in the front the same as mentioned above, however you now would be adding one or two more for the rear depending on whether or not you chose a triple or dual head setup for the front.
Leon also shares that the best placement for the rear of a truck is one on each side of the license plate, centered to half way between the plate & the tail light. If you chose the triple head setup for the front, then you will only have one head available for the rear. In this case you would want to mount the laser jammer head under the rear license plate, as officers are more likely to target your plate than your tail lights.
Laser Jamming for Your Motorcycle
Leon shares that for a motorcycle you would go with a single or dual head setup. The same rules apply here regarding officer targeting with the laser/LIDAR guns, 95% will aim for the front.
On a motorcycle the front is the big shiny head light smack dab in the middle of the bike. As with the other setups, if you are concerned about the other 5% or live in an area that is known for aiming at the rear of the bike, then it’s recommended that you go with the dual head setup.
As we discussed in my Blinder Install How To video, the best places to install the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer Head(s) on a motorcycle, is to install the Laser Jammer Head(s) in either over or under the front headlight.
You can also mount it behind the windshield, however this may cause a decrease in performance. For dual head setups, you will mout the secondary head over or under the rear tail light, it is recommended that if possible install the secondary head over the rear license plate & below the rear tail light for optimal protection.
So as you can see Blinder USA is very committed, not only to customers getting the most out of the Blinder, but the customer’s safety as well. It’s very easy to see why Blinder USA is among the top laser jammer manufacturers.
