Review of the TPX 2.0 Motorcycle Radar Detector
Are you considering accessorizing your motorcycle with a radar detector to avoid expensive speeding tickets?
During our 2015 Radar Detector and Laser Jammer Shootout we tested the new TPX 2.0 motorcycle radar detector from Adaptiv Technologies.
During this test the TPX was found to have 4 times the capture distance of police K and Ka radar guns which placed it into the 3-star radar detector category having comparable performance to that of the Escort 8500×50.
The big advantage of the TPX detector is that it is only radar detector designed specifically for use on motorcycles.
Because of this the TPX is waterproof, shockproof, its display is tilted upwards to the rider, comes equipped with an external LED display and has large buttons enabling you to program your detector while riding.
Another benefit of the TPX is that Adaptiv also offers additional accessories such as their motorcycle Bluetooth transmitter which interfaces with your Bluetooth headset and their TPX wireless headset.
Or if you prefer a visual alert, the TPX will also work with Legal Speeding’s wireless heads up receiver.
Installing your TPX system is easy and takes about 20 minutes.
First mount your TPX detector to your motorcycle mounting system, run the power cable to your electrical source and connect your external visual display.
Now the TPX system retails for $299.00 however you can save $29 now by joining our VIP club.
