How do I Install a Laser Jammer?
Did you know that if your laser jammer is not installed properly, you may not be getting full protection?
Even if you have the top of the line laser jammer, if it is not mounted properly you may be limiting your protection.
In this 9 minute video I Interview Leon Guuner (aka the Blinder Dude) who is the CEO of Blinder USA.
Where to Mount Your Laser Jammer Heads
Leon shares that the best practice on installing a laser jammer for optimal coverage is to start at the front & center of your vehicle.
Next divide your vehicle in ½ & then divide that ½ of the vehicle into ½ again (another words you want to divide the front of the car in ¼ or 25% of the entire size).
This should put you roughly 18 inches from the side of the headlights. (Note: All vehicles are not going to measure out exactly, using 18 inches is only a suggested guideline & not a requirement)
Next you need to place the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer Head(s) into the front grill of your vehicle, again at about 18 inches from the side of the headlights.
If you have a front license plate (Note: Not all states have front license plates, however this applies to you, if you have a front plate of any kind installed) it is highly recommended that you get a third Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer Head for placement above the front plate in the vehicles grill. The reason for this setup is due to how laser / LIDAR works. The further away you are, the wider the beam, but as you get in closer the beam width narrows. It is the closing in on the source of the laser / LIDAR that is the most important to jam, as that is when the law enforcement officer is going to get a reading on your speed. With a three laser jammer head installation on the front, you are providing the strongest defense against laser / LIDAR.
Works on your motorcycles too!
Leon shares with you the best places to mount the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer on a motorcycle with a Harley Davidson & a Ducati as examples. It is very important to note that the control unit (brain) of the Blinder HP-905 Laser Jammer is NOT water proof or resistant. Therefore it must be mounted in a secure & dry place, such as under the seat, in the saddle bags/storage location or in the front body of the motorcycle.
Leon shares that the best places on a motorcycle to install the Blinder Hp-905 Laser Jammer Head(s) in either over or under the front headlight. You can also mount it behind the windshield, however this may cause a decrease in performance.
So as you can see Blinder USA is very committed, not only to customers getting the most out of the Blinder, but the customer’s safety as well. It’s very easy to see why Blinder USA is among the top laser jammer manufacturers.

i have a 93 Corvette where would i mount these without making my Vette looks horrendous?
Tony,
My name is Stephen & I’m Roy’s site admin. He’s currently out of town…again (man is always on the move, chasing down things to share with & help our online community).
Although I am by no means an expert like Roy, there are some things I can be of help with.
The best place to install any non-windshield based units, whether it be a detector like the Escort Passport 9500ci or a laser jammer such as the Blinder, is in the grill on the front of your car. In your case, with a ’93 Corvette, that’s going to be the area under the center of the front. You’ll get the best coverage/protection by placing each jammer head on each side of this area & as close to the sides as you can get it. This serves 2 purposes 1) it conceals it, so no one sees it & 2) it puts the jammer heads under the headlights, which is the usual targeting spot officers use.
I hope that answers your question. However if that doesn’t answer your question and/or you have any other questions, concerns or comments, please feel free to leave a reply in the comments section & I’ll make sure Roy see’s it as soon as he returns.
Thank you for taking the time to ask a very good question & for being a part of our community!
