Ghost Radar Detector Review
Over the past couple months we have received a number of inquires about Radar Shield Technologies Ghost Pro radar detector as they began promoting their detector with “military technology” very heavy using Google AdWords advertising just before Christmas.
UPDATE – Radar Roy Receives a Cease and Desist Order and threatened with a lawsuit because of this review, read more info here
I HAD made an earlier post about Radar Shield’s website titled “Cheap Ass Radar Detectors” back in 2009 after their website was launched just after the CES show in Las Vegas where Raylee Technologies were trying to find distributors for their Escort and Blinder knock offs in which I posted that the devices sold on Radar Shield’s website were very similar to the devices manufactured by Raylee. However to confirm my suspicions and to do a real review of their product(s) I realized that I would have to puchase one of their devices.
Two week’s after placing my online order, the Ghost Pro finally arrived and I began my review of the Ghost Pro Radar Detector.
Ghost Radar Detector Review
Since our review has gone live over 12 hours ago I have still to hear back from Radar Shield Technologies regarding my concerns.
We will keep you posted here on how things progress with this review and my pending actions against Radar Shield with the FCC, Google and Visa.
And PLEASE, if you would like to help my efforts in bringing down these CROOKS, I would ask that you do a few things so our review can get more exposure in Google’s Search Engine so we can warn other unsuspecting customers.

Maybe this company is run by the same guys as Rocky Mountain Radar, changing the name to take some heat of off RMR?!?
Roy,
I have talked with you before. I am in the Air Force and protect this great country. I want to thank you for what you do for us consumers. I also want to thank God for people like you. People that stick up for what is right and people like you that are not afraid to voice their opinion and say and do what’s right. I’m on your side and behind your back as many others are. There is power in numbers and you have numbers behind you. Thank you for your reviews because I can’t afford to get ripped off in this economy. I can’t say it enough. THANK YOU! GOD BLESS YOU, YoUR FAMILY and this GREAT COUNTRY

has anyone use a rocky radar detectors need info about it
I offer a $50,000 reward to anyone that can show me a RMR that works
I have actually had some positive experience with the Ghost radar detector. It did pick up and alert me to a slew of speed traps throughout NY, CT and MA. Sadly, I did get a ticket courtesy of the MA State Troopers (and my going to fast) and I’m not sure why my unit didn’t pick up the signal this time. However, a friend of mine who is a police officer said that many officers these days do not leave their radar guns “on” and just “point and shoot” at the offendng vehicle. This allows them to go undetected by radar detectors and write many more tickets. On the brighter side, RadarShield *CHEERFULLY* reimbursed me for the entire cost of the ticket – to the tune of $150!!! – and was actually apologetic for the summons. I have to say, I was very impressed with the level of customer service I received.
@Ellen
I find your comment interesting as you say you drive on the east coast and the IP address that you used to post this message is from Redwood City, Ca.
Country: United States us flag
State/Region: California
City: Redwood City
Latitude: 37.5331
Longitude: -122.2471
Area Code: 650
Postal Code: 94065
Send me a photocopy of your “reimbursement” I would love to see it and will post it here on the site
Hi admin,
I find it interesting you seem to be trying to discredit me by mentioning the IP from which I sent my email. Perhaps your sleuthing should include additional knowledge, such as the fact that the IP address is indicative of where the email SERVER is located and not the email-er. Also, have you heard of a recent invention called air travel?
At any rate, I have already cashed the check. It’s also interesting that you asked for a copy of the reimbursement check and not of the original summons – you seemed quite willing to accept the problem (the fact that I was written a ticket) yet you question the solution. Could it be that this site is not totally not un-biased? Hmmmm…..
@ Ellen If I was bias I wouldn’t have published your post in the 1st place, just question your experience based upon the experience that I documented and what other customers have said. In the documentation that was delivered with my detector it was the same line that RMR uses in the fact that they do not include court costs and fees and other fees in the reimbursement of the fine meaning that they pay pennies on the dollar for reimbursement.
Roy,
The phone number I gave you was from FT. Lauderdal, Florida. YesterdayI recieved my use less
Paper wieght as you would call it Found this return address. I was told by my bank to send it back unwrappedand demaning a refund. What are your thoughts on that?

The return address is a mail drop, not a real address. The guy that is selling this crap is from FL. Once the bank gets enough complaints and chargebacks they will cancel his account. Make sure you send it back with tracking
Thanks for the warning. I was curious but at the same time hesitant. I think I will hold off. Thanks again.
Great work Roy, way to call them out and spare us of more crappy Cobra knock offs 🙂
So what does someone do if they seen your review too late, and placed an order, but has not yet received the bunk merchandise?
Have no idea, you will have to contact the vendor you purchased your product from. I don’t sell stuff, sorry….
Thanks for your report I was looking into buying one of these radar detector so thanks again.
What is a good reliable brand of laser radar detector that will give you the best bang for your buck?
In this price range would recommend the Pro 300: http://www.radardetector.org/reviews/beltronics-pro-300-radar-detector-review/
If you use discount code radarroy you’ll get 10% off
Rickey,
My name is Stephen & I’m Roy’s site admin.
Thank you very much for taking the time to checkout the site & for asking a very good question!
Given Roy’s vast experience, not only as a retired law enforcement officer in AZ, but his experience in the countermeasure area as well, has caused him to conclude that radar detectors just aren’t enough for laser protection of any caliber.
He asked me to share with you, that his recommendation has always been to consider getting a laser jammer in addition too a solid performing detector, such as the Escort Passport Max. http://www.radardetector.org/reviews/escort-max-radar-detector-review/
Check out this link for info on the Blinder HP-905 laser detector/jammer. http://www.radardetector.org/reviews/blinder-hp-905-compact-laser-jammer-review/
Let us know if you have any questions, comments and/or concerns, if I can’t answer it, I will immediately notify Roy & he’ll respond personally.
Thank you again for visiting & contacting Radar Roy!
