Will Escort Inc. and Cobra Electronics Join Forces?

The radar detector community is abuzz about Escort Incorporated parent company Monomoy Holdings deal about buying Cobra Electronics Corporation for more then $28 million dollars in cash.

So does this mean that there will be a merger between Escort and Cobra?

That’s the question everyone is asking and many dreading!

Will Monomoy Holdings cut costs by shut down the Escort/Beltronic’s plant in Canada and move manufacturing to China?

Or will they attempt to revive the Cobra brand my integrating Escort’s technology into the Cobra line of detectors?

Only time will tell….
