Re: Best Buy - It doesn't surprise me in the least that Best Buy would pull this kind of stunt. Best Buy employees have flat-out lied to me about their products and warranties. They will say anything and do anything to make the sale. Their customer service is very poor, to way the least. And if there is a problem afterwards, the corporate culture - right up to the store manager - seems to be, "No, we can't help you with that." After several very bad experiences, I will not shop at Best Buy under any circumstances. Instead I go to Costco, where they stand behind what they sell and solve problems with a smile.

BestBuy announced today that this is the worst year in its 40 year history. And this: Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY) has issued an earnings warning this morning. The electronics and home appliances retailer is noting a fall in consumer spending, driven by the recent turmoil in the financial markets and other macro economic factors. Uncertainty regarding future consumer spending has limited its ability to project revenue for the critical holiday shopping season and the balance of the fiscal year. They ain't seen nothin', yet.

just like the try hard backyard, work from home, reseller in Australia who is now flogging Conqueror M18 laser jammers. The very same amateur reseller has sold other products also sold by Rocky Mountain. Maybe this needs to be exposed too?

I honestly can't understand why you would buy from best buy to begin with. They are never (or rarely) competitive to buying online (even w/ shipping). The only occasion for buying from a brink and mortar like best buy is if you aren't sure you want to keep the item. Returns locally are typically easier. But in general shop online and stay away.

I agree, I boycotted Best buy years ago and would only buy from Circuit City. Then Circuit City went out of business when they had much better deals than best buy or shitty buy for that matter. It really shows how people that don't do there research can get scammed by places like best buy, when all best buy cares about is money. I'm with you, Roy.
