I’m a PIG!

A few months ago we published a review of a product being sold by a website in Australia called the Stealth Ninja. They claim that this unit could jam police radar and laser and could also beat the Spectre RDD.
Right off the bat when we saw this unit, we recognized the case as being similar to the RMR D-550, that is manufactured by Autowave in Korea.
Well now the owner of the site is upset and is calling me a PIG!
“Nobody trusts a PIG, when they are a PIG, why trust a retired PIG?   26 years training other pigs on how to use Radar Guns?  They aren’t that complicated and the user’s guide is fairly straight forward!  But then hey, 26 years in the same job dead end job, he probably got forced to retire!  Just remember, do you trust any police person let alone one that goes from traffic enforcement to flogging the same equipment he was training against?? Think about it… “
Didn’t think it possible, but found someone with less class then RMR…..

Rocky Mountain Radar Responds

Michael Churchman and his crew at Rocky Mountain Radar have come up with a new “boiler plate” response for people that e-mail them about my $5000.00 challenge!
“The $5000 reward is a sham: first you have to send Radar Roy $5,000; then you have to hire his friend, Carl Fors to run the test $2,500; then you have to pay all of Radar Roy’s and Carl Fors ‘travel expenses’; then you have to agree to let Fors test the units as he wishes to…if one survived all this you get your 5000 back plus the reward (try to collect!) and you are out all the expenses of about $10,000. This is all to play against a stacked deck….no thanks!”
“We have our products tested by reputable universities that test what the product does and also any weaknesses; it has no front-end bias. They proved our units do exactly what we say they do. If you want to listen to the other guys’ hired guns, that is your prerogative (sic); we prefer unvarnished truth.”
Well Mike and Raul, just in case you’re reading this, I’ll be attending the November 2006 SEMA show again this year and if you like, we can go out to the convention parking lot and shoot radar and laser guns at any of your jammers, to see if any of them really work. Oh, I forgot, during last years show when I personally issued this challenge at your booth with $5000.00 cash in hand with news cameras rolling, Raul stated “our jammers will not work in parking lots”
I responded that I could make the arrangements to do the test on any agreed roadway, with Las Vegas Metro performing the test, Raul again declined.
Ahhh, guess the slogan isn’t always true “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”
